The Awards Ceremony

There is an Award Ceremony to celebrate the competition’s best entries, which takes place at the National Film Theatre, South Bank and this year's has the added privilege of being part of the 50th anniversary of The Times bfi London Film Festival.  All the film makers who make it to the final stages are invited to participate in the evening which celebrates the  creative new talent.  The six short listed films are screened in front of an audience of industry luminaries, journalists and opinion formers and then the winners are announced and presented with their award by members of the judging panel.

In addition the short listed films are screened as part of the TCM sponsored Short Cuts and Animation strand and TCM dedicates a weekend on the channel to showing the finalists’ films.

TCM Classic Shorts has already discovered and encouraged some of the best new talent in the country.
