Throughout the duration of The Times BFI 51 st London Film Festival some of the world's most celebrated actors and directors will offer a rare and unique glimpse into the world of film and due to a long standing relationship this year the Screen Talks will be sponsored by TCM.
TCM Screen Talks took place during the Festival from Wednesday 17th October – Thursday 1st November. The talent associated with the film screened appear live on-stage interviewed by well-respected personalities followed by a Q&A with the audience.
These hugely high-profile on-stage career interviews offered a completely unique experience for audiences to interact with A-list talent talking about the things that they love, hate and find inspirational.

The British-born and Australia-raised Naomi Watts has just been confirmed for TCM Screen Talks. Watts teams up with David Cronenberg in Eastern Promises (2007) , the Festival’s Opening Night Gala film, and with Michael Haneke for Funny Games (1997), a Film on the Square premiere. We welcome Naomi Watts back to her native country to discuss her internationally celebrated film career.

LAURA LINNEY
TCM Screen Talk

Laura Linney made the transition from stage to screen with Lorenzo’s Oil (1993). Her major film roles include Primal Fear (1996), Absolute Power (1997), The Truman Show (1998) and Mystic River (2003). She was Oscar nominated for her performances in You Can Count on Me (2000) and Kinsey (2004). TCM’s Screen Talk follows her latest film, The Savages in which she and Philip Seymour Hoffman play siblings looking after their ailing father.

Quirky and idiosyncratic are just a couple of adjectives used to describe talented film maker Wes Anderson who has established himself after making a handful of stylish films. He is involved in all aspects of film making as a producer, writer, director and cinematographer leading to the description of ‘auteur’ He frequently casts Owen Wilson, Bill Murray, Anjelica Huston and his latest offering The Darjeeling Ltd closes the Times BFI 51 st London Film Festival on Thursday 1st November.
